About The Shield
The color black on the shield is representative of two attributes to canine cancer:
Constancy – The color of both paws on the shield are representative of a dog’s faithfulness and devotion to his or her owner, even while in a time of peril.
Grief – The color of the remaining black on the shield, the framework and the dividing lines is representative of the grief that a dog’s master encounters after the loss of their dog to canine cancer.
The color medium blue on the shield is representative of two attributes to our beloved pets:
Loyalty – The color medium blue on the upper left of the shield represents a dog’s quality of being faithful and allegiant to his master.
Faith – The color on the lower right of the shield represents faith in both finding a cure for canine cancer, and that all dogs will carry the same faith as their master that they will beat the disease.
The color white on the shield is representative of two things we can attribute to our dogs:
Innocence – The color of the letters on the shield represent our dog’s innocence and vulnerability to being attacked by such a horrible disease.
Peace – The color of the letters on the shield represent all dogs who have been laid to rest after departing with their master and that they may finally find peace.
The color grey on the shield is representative of one thing:
Honor – The color of both grey fields on the upper right and lower left of the shield are representative of honor. At Canine Knights Foundation, we honor all those who have fought the noble fight, regardless whether they’ve fallen or not. No matter the circumstances, our faithful companions will always hold a very special place in our hearts.
